Lisa De Simone
Born in Milan, Italy, Lisa began her musical education at the “Luisa D’Annunzio” Conservatory in Pescara. She gained a Master of Music in Violin Performance at Parma Conservatoire "Arrigo Boito," where she studied under the guidance of Maestro Luigi Mazza, second violinist of the renowned Nuovo Quartetto Italiano. Lisa further pursued advanced studies with distinguished masters such as Igor Voloschine and Sergei Vernikov.
She then gained a post-graduate qualification in chamber music under the guidance of Maestro Luca Simoncini, at the "Accademia Serenissima" - Sacile, Italy, developing a deep commitment to ensemble performance.
An active performer in numerous orchestras and chamber ensembles, Lisa has played in prestigious concert halls across Europe and Asia, collaborating with eminent conductors including Lorin Maazel, Donato Renzetti, Riccardo Muti, Dorian Shambadal and Riccardo Chailly. She has also contributed to productions for major Italian broadcasters such as RAI and Mediaset.
Since 2011, she has been based in England, where she continues to share her passion for music through teaching and performance. She has recorded and collaborated with leading UK broadcasters.
Lisa is a deeply dedicated music educator. Since 2012, she has held a permanent teaching position in violin and chamber music at Create Music in Brighton (www.createmusic.org.uk), working successfully across both beginner and advanced levels. She is also Head of Strings for the organisation, leading on string curriculum and events for young string players. Many of her students have been recognised with national and international music awards or have very successfully pursued a musical career.
Through her teaching activity, she works with over 100 children each week, nurturing the next generation of young musicians with a dynamic and inspiring approach.
She is frequently invited as an adjudicator to international competition panels.
